How do they work?
ABS sensors report the speed of all four wheels to the ECU to determine if the wheels are locking up or slipping.
Where are they located?
At each wheel, differential or transmission tail shaft housing.
Symptoms of failure
- ABS/brake warning light
- No/erratic ABS operation
- No/erratic traction control operation
- No/erratic stability control operation
